what way is pc gaming and did I miss something

I have been out of gaming for a few years, but i still buy all the magazines, I did buy some pc games over the years like the medal of honor games, i remember them games been around 200 euro and add on's been around 80 euro, am I wrong or can someone tell me when PC games got so cheap or is there a lot of DLC.

As someone who has all the Medal of Honor games, I don't remember them ever being that expensive. Back then, addons were expansion packs and generally came with quite a lot of content
