What PC games have you finished more than once?

There was a similar thread to this running yesterday but its not here anymore so I decided to recreate it, and to save the time of those who previously answered,

@Pifanjr said
"It's pretty rare for me to finish a game, let alone play it again. The only game that comes to mind right now is XCOM and I'm not 100% sure I finished the second run. "

@Colif said
" depends on how you define finish. Games like Diablo 2 and Sacred and TL2, you may finish the story in 2 days or so but you can keep playing the character in another difficulty.

If they count, Yes... I have returned to games to finish them on a few occasions, with a new character or a different class. Probably 100 times or more over the years.

Journey I completed hundreds of times...

but games where you can only play the story once? I don't know, I hardly play them, I like endless games, no restrictions, no story getting in the way. I liked the original SIm City as it had purpose, it just existed to have fun and make a city. Some games can't help themselves. Skyrim throws dragons at you even if you ignore the story line. "

@bh3bh3 said
"GTA San Andreas and Suikoden in PS. I played suikoden in several platforms such as PS, PC, and Mobile phone (emulators).

Now, this reminds me of how I love the story of Suikoden and it makes me wanna play it again. = "

@XoRn said "Man, I don't even want to think about how many times I've "completed" Diablo 3 and Path of Exile. lol. Roguelikes as well like Dead Cells and Hades would add dozens of more completions but I'm not sure those should count since a play through only takes 45 minutes after a while.

On the main topic of the thread I have completed a LOT of games multiple times. I'm just going scroll through my steam list and see which ones I remember completing more than once:

Call of Duty
Call of Duty: United Offensive
Call of Duty 2 (several times)
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty World at War
Call of Duty Black Ops
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
BioShock
BioShock Infinite
Batman Arkham Asylum
Darksiders (It's strange how I beat the first one multiple times but couldn't bring myself to finish either of the sequels)
Basically every Valve game with a single player component (HL, HL2, Portal, ect)
Fallout 3
Borderlands
Borderlands 2
Crysis
Doom
Doom 3
DOOM (2016)
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (I tried for WEEKS to get a Silent Assassin rating on every level).
Homefront (god knows why)
Mass Effect
Quake
Red Faction (yup. the first one)
Saints Row 3
Saints Row 4 (I haven't actually finished it twice yet, but I'm in the process of 100% it right now)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Something or another (I can't remember which one. Probably Clear Skies?)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

That's it for Steam games I see that I'm pretty sure I've completed twice. I know there are older games I never got digital copies of as well like C&C Red Alert 2, Crimson Skies, Delta Force 1 & 2.

Looking at my steam list has given me "incompleation" anxiety. There are a LOT of games I haven't even launched yet. Bleh. "

@Johnway said
"There are a fair few games i've played twice but off the top of my head:

Doom2
Doom2
path of exile every 3 months when a league kicks in, i have to play through the story every time.
World in Conflict
Xcom enemy unknown
Xcom 2 (once with collectors edition, again with the rest of the DLC and again with Wotc)
dead island
thief deadly shadows
Thief 2
Cod MW2
Alan wake (well, played through the game twice with new game+)
Half life generations 3
half life 2

I'm sure there are more... "

@Zloth said
"Not many, really. 4X games are often completed multiple times so I'll skip those.

The Last Remnant. Completed twice, nearly completed a third time (I was mainly after an optional boss, which I never was able to finish off)
Final Fantasy 7. Completed twice, once properly, once with a guide in hand so I didn't miss all that secret stuff. (Started MANY more times.)
BattleTech. Once in campaign mode, once in career mode.
XCom 2, just like @Johnway
X: Rebirth. Once in campaign mode, once without the story.
Sacrifice? Definitely finished once but I think I got through twice.
Final Fantasy X: Once on console, once on PC in HD.
Saints Row 3: Little difference between runs, but it's just so fun! "

@Brian Boru said "Right, question only makes sense for games with campaigns.

RTS

C&C 1 & 2 multiple times;
Red Alert 1 & 2 multiple times;
C&C Generals & Zero Hour multiple times;
Total Annihilation multiple times;
Dark Reign 1 & 2 multiple times;
Rise of Nations multiple times;
Supreme Commander & Forged Alliance multiple times.

Shooters / Lite RPGs

Half Life 2
Portal 1 & 2

All Far Cry except FC2;
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3;
Crysis & Warhead multiple times;
C&C Renegade.

Casual

Royal Envoy series multiple times;
Northern Tales series multiple times;
Amazing Pyramids & AP Rebirth;

Loads more especially in the Casual space. "

what do you say? what games haven't you been able to stop playing?

Got any non-spoiler tips for this one? I bought it a while back and it keeps popping up as folks saying the played it, liked it or recommended it. If it made your list, it must be pretty decent. :)
For me it was one of the best hidden gems of the year when it released. Yes it has it flaws and some of the concepts are not as deep as one may have wished for... but damn if I didn't had a blast.

I finished it twice, playing different styles and taking different decisions (because those matter: you kill someone or you save them? What will happen to others related to that person? Will then district be thrown into chaos?) and while - as I mentioned - the consequences may not be as deep , they are there and it was nice to see different outcomes.

Also VO is great, the atmosphere is wonderful and I just hope they make a sequel.

Just be vary the combat is way to easy once you get used to and since it's not rewarding, you may want to avoid unnecesary battles by just running away. I didn't mind it that much but then I did run past some enemies or just took another route to not be bothered by having another combat without any real reward.

Hope that helps.

Also I am still bummed I didn't get 100% achievements because on my second run I did ONE thing out of order and that blocked me from ONE damn room where some item was kept. I may return to it to just get that one damn thing.

I'll take a shot at this, though I'll have to dredge through some of my older brain cells going back to the 1980s.

Ultima Underworld 1 & 2
Ultima 6
Ultima 7 The Black Gate
Ultima 7.5 Serpent Isle
Wizardry 8
Might & Magic 6, 7, & 8
System Shock 1 & 2
Betrayal at Krondor
Crusader No Remorse
Dark Forces
Planescape Torment
Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 and Throne of Bhaal
Icewind Dale 1 & 2
Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2
Knights of the Old Republic
Deus Ex
Two Worlds
Gothic 2 & 3
Devine Divinity
Gothic 2 & 3
Diab lo 1 & 2
Dungeon Siege
Sacred 1 & 2
Half Life 1 & 2 and Episodes 1 & 2
Titan Quest
Fallouts 1, 2, 3, 4 and New Vegas
Elder Scrolls Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, & Skyrim
Dragon Age Origins, DA2, & Inquisition
Mass Effect 1, 2, 3 & Andromeda
Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2 Deadfire

That's what I can remember having completed more than once (and in some cases many times). Literally thousands of enjoyable hours of my life in those games.
