Question What is Your best local-multiplayer game?

Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a good action-multiplayer game, dedicated for 2-4 player.
I'm UE4 developer and I'm searching an example of the game where client-server LAN game is easy to setup to confirm and compare my approach of multiplayer setup.
Are there any popular multiplayer games that hosts gameplay localy instead of connecting to global servers?

maybe you can try the counter strike game that was viral in the past

Currently, counter strike has invidual application for game hosting. Player clients connects to the server. In my approach, every client could be a server, but I need an example, how to provide easy, player-friendly interface to setup connections..
