I ask the PCG staff a regular Weekend Question and post the answers on the site. If you'd like to throw in an answer here, I'll squeeze the best into the finished article!

This week's question is: Which videogame bar do you wish you could visit?

Every RPG has to have an inn or tavern, and mystery games usually involve a trip to a dive bar. They're a mainstay of adventure games and open-world crime games too. Like bars in real life they might have minigames to play, like darts or pool or finding a local for Geralt to beat up, but they're also places where you can get to know the locals, whether you're scrounging for clues or recruiting new party members. And, of course, you can just get blitzed and watch the graphics go blurry.

Chora's Den on the Citadel in Mass Effect 1, so I could watch the Asari dancers.

Sorry, I gave up drinking ages ago, so my fave place to visit in a game world would certainly not be a bar. I suppose I wouldn't mind dropping into one in a Star Wars game though just for the amusement.
I gave up years ago as well, but no reason you can't go in and look... just don't drink anything :)

I can't think of any games I played recently that had bars in them. That more on me though. Reminds me of playing AD&D with friends in the 1980's, and one guy only wanted to go to bars and start fights... thats my memory of it anyway. We weren't really playing by the rules, we were just kids.

Some of the bars in Baldurs Gate would be interesting to visit.

I could think of a few. The bar from the launch hub in Deep Rock Galactic has really great looking low-poly beers. I would definitely like to visit the bar from Monkey Island and have some grog. Do the poker tables from the Telltale Poker Night games count? The underground nightclub that you get in GTA Online is fun to visit virtually, so it would probably be cool for real. The Diamond Casino & Resort would be neat to see in person, too.
