Man, it's a tough market right now. Back in the day, I would have said to build your own, every time. But as hard as it is to buy video cards now, I think you're better off buying a prebuilt PC. Personally, I'd probably just search Amazon for gaming PCs in whatever your price range is.

What is your definition of "affordable"? are we talking ~1k or ~2k? Depends on how much you want to spend.
