Trouble with my Keyboard

hello,

i have a question, when im playing any game every once in a while I hear the device disconnected sound and my character won't stop moving for a few seconds. I looked it up and i thought it was the power saving on the USB for my keyboard so i disabled that but its still happening. im not sure whats going on. all my keyboard drivers are up to date also. i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it? also im new to PC gaming and trouble shooting PC problems FYI.

put your keyboard into the usb that you have your mouse plugged into and put the mouse into the usb you have your keyboard plugged into.

If your mouse stops working that would indicate the usb socket is faulty , if your keyboard stops working in the other usb that would indicatate your keyboard is faulty.

type device manager into your search box and when you see the list of items come on screen look if their are any yellow triangles showing that might indicate a fault

Are you using a USB hub? If so, is it powered?
