Bad taste translates to not liking what is currently in fashion. I would have missed the first 20 years of computer games if I worried about that sort of thing.

A bit of a delay and drop in quantity as i was busy for the last few weeks. i did come across some possibly useful notes when rendering the horse head so i took the time to focus on that this time. i drew them larger to add more detail and also prevent me hiding from shrinking the image which can hide/reduce detail

bank holiday weekend so had time to do some more sketches. Whilst i'm studying i need to find or refine methods to making it easier to draw things. My main annoyance atm is the basic headshape isn't cutting it. The cone method isn't working or i need to study more.

Apologies for being a bit quiet on my front. Just haven't been uploading here once i finish some sketches. We're still doing horses but i'm pushing the boat out a bit further, focusing on refinements, the horse heads and parts of the horse gear. namely the reins (as we're focussing on the head). really need to address the proportions of my horses . i need to look in the hind quarters of the horse as the proportions are wrong. looks more pony then hose and the initial sketch made it look like a deer. So no, still a long way from the desired results.

Another dose of your fortnightly dose of horses. i had finished this set last week but didn't upload as i thought i might work on them a bit more. But meh. Discovered my imgur account has been banned for some reason. So i'm uploading to my deviantart account instead. We're making improvements, the belly of the horse might be resolved and the horse head is shaping up nicely. i'll try and add some motion and action poses as i practice and improve.

many thanks for the support! Generally i take my time for these things and its usually 2 -3 weeks when i upload some practice. I would like to show more complete work, but i'm in study mode and i would like to try and focus on certain parts of practice like just getting everything right the first time. But since you mentioned it, yes there is another batch of horses finished.

After over a year of drawing horses i'm itching to make some completed pictures with a horse in it. I probably need to start having fun instead of studying. It will force me out of my comfort zones and start putting things into practice and identify weak areas. I still need to study horse gear if i want to get a cavalry man on that horse.
