i have seen a lot of discussion trolls on different games and a player once said a troller did not even own the game.
I have forgot how to look to see if a player owns a game he is bad mouthing

From my experience most trolls hide their profile.

I bad mouth a lot of games that i have no qualms of people seeing that i play. Only a select few (XIII remake) have i bad-mouthed in the discussions without owning the game, mainly because it absolutely deserved it.

The Steam or Key icon indicates if they've bought the game.

Nice. That's good to know.

I know you can also look at a list of all the games they own on their profile if they didn't block it. I don't remember offhand how to get there, though.

The indicator is a little dubious since the Friends & Family thing came to Steam. And, obviously, Steam has no idea if somebody owns the game on GOG or Epic. (Or even bought a physical copy. It can happen! 😉)
