One of the card choices is a selection of pylons that start out as negative unless you do enough damage to them that they switch sides and start to act in your favour, generally as buffs to certain materials or money, and the monsters go mad and try to destroy them as quickly as possible.

Best I had managed before tonight was having one active but today I got two and it was nice, monsters didn't know which one to target first and mostly ignored me.

Pylons are the floating trapezoids (maybe)

Eventually monsters kill both off as card choices include environmental hazards that kill them off, but not me. Build designed to cancel most of the environmental problems out, only thing that can kill me is bad card choices.

Huntress hit 100, she been spending most her time in tier 8 expeditions upgrading all her weapons to Primordial, only one page left... She should really try tier 9 or 10, as although its fun clearing an entire room with one salvo, its just an indication she should level up...

Mage should try tier 8 Forges, the game isn't amused at its inability to kill him and drop quality sux in recent forges. Guess I only want 1 thing... a ring, then I might have no excuses left and have to fight a boss...

Opposites
Mage only ever used 4 staffs, and her main one is almost on 3 million kills now
Huntress not sure what she wanted to use, so only 2 Bows she hasn't got. Currently collecting Primordial bows. the two bows she lacks are from 2 bosses.

Other differences:
Huntress has stupid amounts of evade, Mage has none.
Huntress doesn't like being hit, mage just stands there and ignores all attempts to hurt him hiding behind a shield that can withstand 700k damage at its max. And refreshes every 31 victims. Essentially only killable if I make dumb card choices. Gets boring after a while.

Huntress being 100 now means she is doing tier 9 expeditions and finally earning enough that her impact is being eroded.

Had been using mage to farm money so Huntress could spend it. Its hardly even now, one expedition only pays 72k, one Forge is at least 300k... up to 2 million if you lucky. Expeditions way shorter though, 10 minutes a floor compared to about an hour

Mage got a nice present... not the ring he been wanting for weeks, but a replacement for one of his other items - the chest piece. Its the same one, but with one Green line that makes a difference
It is already beating a lvl 12 version of chest piece - in that stat anyway. .

Already have a 91% block chance in Tier 6 Forges. I should try harder ones but I live in hope it give me the ring I want without having to do that - I have ring on another save, and it never did any forges.

Huntress also got a hand me down pair of gloves I need to level up, it had as much crit at lvl 1 as a lvl 12 pair of hands. Just need to level them up to see what they end up with.

I forgot to sleep... maybe I do that now.

I had always said that once I hit 50 million gold I would make the ring I was waiting for instead of... waiting for game to drop it. Well, I am over 50 now and though I had considered saving more and getting 75, it was based on idea that the price of making a yellow into a Legendary item was 1.5 million per step...
I wondered tonight, what is cost of converting another legendary ring into the one I want... as you can change almost everything in this game. So I put in a spare legendary ring... I have a few... and looked. 66k to change a ring from one to another... wow... really, that little... You need mats to do it but I have spare and can make more.
So I spent a little money and after a few tries got the ring I wanted... and thought, yay... need to level this up now...
But in the back of my mind was thought... I have a better ring, I just didn't want to bust it... so after playing a little with the one I made, I went back to blacksmith and converted my better ring into legendary and played the waiting game for it to roll the right ring... and
1IqMcuj.jpeg

that green line should be 4k but due to the legendary effect its grown...
My defence stats are now 92% block in Tier 7, about 167k shield

Just need to level the chest piece up to 13 and I be over powered for next boss that I been stalling. Need to watch videos on him.

Huntress also made herself a pair of legendary gloves. I have to be careful I don't go mad making new gear. Need more blue/Green armour with the right green lines on them. then I can make them legendary. Need to find a few rings as well, both of my characters want to replace of theirs... not the one above but the 2nd ring could be better.

Also made some boots for Mage with a green line on them... all my gear must have green.
1st stage - wear Yellows
2ns Stage - Wear legendaries with perfectly rolled stats (its tedious waiting for the right number to appear, and expensive sometimes)
3rd stage - Find greens/blues with perfect 3 exclamation mark green lines and convert them into legendaries.
I am at stage 3. It takes time for game to give me right things.

Also means I need to do a fire sale and empty inventory of extra legendaries as its really easy to just make what I need. Only restriction is mats and time. I won't sell them as such, scrap them for materials. recycle them.

Main restriction is finding an item that has the right stats in the right rows, as not all rows can have the right values. I was looking at one last night and although it had two of the skills I needed, one was on wrong line and after looking at available values for that line, one of the skills I wanted doesn't show on that line. So needed to remove "totems do extra damage" from one line to another.
That and some items just seem harder to find, such as rings and Helms, with the values I want to find. Bracers and Gloves seem more likely to have green lines on them. Amulets seem the rarest.
Not sure if all values can be shown as Green. Crit chance can be Green but maybe not the Totems value can be - I haven't seen enough items to know for sure

Anyway, my Mage went a little mad last night
She replaced her:
  • Gloves
  • Bracers
  • Shoulders (though I think this was night before)
  • Boots (this was night before)
  • Her other ring she has wanted to match the new one above
  • Cape (this was last thing she did)
Using tier 6 forges to get experience on the items so I can upgrade them to 12 (an upgrade normally adds 10% to all values on items, some times it can crit and you get more than 10% as if item you have doesn't have the best roll for that line, then you only get 10% of what you had, not the absolute max. ).
You can adjust almost all values on an item, but not Green lines. No way to edit those without removing their Green status so you have to be lucky and find one that is max value. But you can lock their values in place and edit all other aspects of the item. And upgrades can crit and bring a green item up to its max potential roll.

I noticed a change, up until yesterday the forges didn't beg me to give the monsters any health for them to exist in the game...
Forges are really just card games where you pick one of three cards each round to continue, and one selection of cards gives the AI one of the below choices:
  • Strength
  • Speed
  • Life
Normally they aren't the first choice when I start a Forge, it would ask at some stage for more, but not 1st round. Game would attack you a few times before making the enemy stronger. More of a challenge

And sometimes it repeats the request until I give it what it wants... that or it gets tired of me saying "speed" as I found easiest way to survive is to make them really fast but with no Strength or Health - that is in fact my normal choice with the cards.
But since I updated all those items above with green text that adds more defence, and DPS, they become insistent. Almost begging... makes total sense as they don't really show as anyhing apart from damage figures until they have more Health and can survive my intital hit.

Some of the card choices make them annoyiing to deal with, these include:
  • giving them a shield for 100% of their life
  • nullifying shield which has them ignore a number of hits - 1 hit isn't so bad but one choice is the 1st 5 hits. They are in your face really fast
  • Hermetic: this makes them immune to Damage over Time
  • Gravity: this reduces range of ranged attacks

The last two mostly are annoying for my build as I sit in middle of screen and annihilate anything on the outed areas gefore they ever get to me... first half of the game is really quiet as no enemies survive long enough to hurt me for long, and if I don''t give them any health at start, they get really pushy about me selecting one as there are worse
  1. Cursed cards where they give the enemy too much strength/life - Gargantuan for example adds 300 strength and is really impossible to deal with in conjunction with Nullify or some others - I learned that the hard way.
  2. Or they can give enemies the value of one of the collectibles in the stage (such as your gold amount) and suddenly have 100 million health and you have no chance of killing it.
  3. Upgrades that don't tell you what choices might be in the coming round. Such as next round is all legendary cards or Rare, and not all of those are good
Most times it will offer me two cards I don't want to pick and I have no choice but pick 3rd. Some times its 3 cards I don't want at all and just have to pick the least annoying.

Some cards just don't work with my build and I refuse to pick them... one adds an unkillable monster to a round and only way to remove it is kill everything else. This doesn't work with my build as two of my 3 auto turrets will concentrate on keeping it at bay and the 3rd can't cope with killing everything else in the round. I remember the few times I picked it.

weird, spell check isn't running on Firefox so I probably missed a few words. Or at least, its being selective as to what it checks.

Tier 6 - It feels like beating up a toddler as I have to give them 6 rounds of health just so they can survive my initial attack, just for them to find they can't actually hit me any more

Stacking armour sure adds up
yA6cmm8.jpeg

1st row is DPS: Physical and Magical
2nd row is Life and Mana - I have a skill that uses 75% of my mana total as Armour
3rd row is Armour, resistances and Evasion - Mage doesn't need to evade in Forges as her block chance is that 93% figure.

There are no recorded instances of me taking any damage in a Forge that I completed... I have died twice but those aren't completed forges, are they

Guess I should play Tier 7 but it doesn't really feel any different. rewards are just worse... hence I came back to tier 6 as I don't care about the rewards now. Max rep with all Weapon makers.

Edit: Tier 7 is better, I made 3 million gold so rewards not so bad after all.
Only need 2 vitality to make them happier. Still can't hit me.

Mainly as the runes I use on my weapon add a shield that refreshes really fast
Activation rune - every 49 kills it triggers the effect rune
Effect rune - Shields up to a max of 258k damage based on my armour and mana
Enhancement rune - this allows the effect rune to stack, up to 150%

It is also affected by the amount of armour you have, so I been stacking armour on gear to point I now have over 1 million armour that refreshes every 49 kills

its not added to my stats as its temporary, if I am not in combat I only have 10k life showing in health bar but as soon I hit the kill number it replaces my health with the shield that grows until it hits its max later in forge. You don't get it right away. Have to be careful in some forges as you won't have as much protection yet.

Even after I gave tier 7 enough life and a few strength buffs, they could only do 14k damage to shields before they refresh

Armour takes damage during Forges but I never do.
