I am looking to either build or buy 2 custom built pc for myself and my husband. In the past we have always built our own. We used the TechReport guideline that they came out with every year, and our computers were long lasting with little to no issues.
Unfortunately, they got bought out last year and no longer make the guidelines. Our computers are pretty old and on their last legs, so this is relatively time sensitive. This time we are going to have to start from scratch, new cases all the way to OS. I don't really have the time, or the patience to start wading through huge amounts of info to start building my list of parts etc.
I was hoping for some advice. I am looking for a similar guide on how to build a pc and the comparable charts of parts and alternative choices depending on price and quality. Failing that, I would like to find a reputable company that custom builds gamer rigs. Our budget is 2k to 3k for each computer. I realize that while this is a decent budget for building our own, it might not be for a custom built, but since I don't know much about buying an already built one, I thought I would look into it. Any help would be appreciated.
