Searching for a space oriented game.

I've been pulling my hair out for a few months now, searching for a game that seems to be impossible to find.
I'll try my best to describe it.
I takes place in space. Mostly outdoors where oxygen needs to be replenished by reaching checkpoints of sort. If you travel too far from them, oxygen starts to deplete.
You have a tutor, at least in the first part, and you meet up with her inside some type of habitats at the end of each "mission". The game starts with her briefing you inside some sort of compound or habitat. I think it starts with you having to walk through an indoor complex, probably to learn the movement system.
While outside, you encounter enemies that you have to take out. Pretty much easily and as far as I know, no "bosses". From time to time you have to powerjump to reach platforms and such, and it's required to complete some parts of the missions. The environment is a cold, stony planet or asteroid where you can clearly see the edges which suggest you can fall into space. Not sure if you can though, I never tried.

For some reason I never placed the name of this game in my mind even tough I enjoyed it very much. I don't even recall if I played it on Steam, Epic, EA or somewhere else.
I hope this might be enough for someone out there to recognize my description and make a suggestion. And as always, all suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
/Daniel

I think it must be 2-4 years ago. No idea if the game was new at the time. But it feels modern. It's a first person adventure shooter in 3d of course.

I don‘t think that it‘s the game you are looking for, but it sounds a lot in the direction of Prey. There is a DLC „Mooncrash“ in which the setting is taken to a moon called Pytheas.
Is your game more of a survival type of game or were the missions more like puzzles? Do you remember any of the missions by chance?

Sadly, it's not Prey, how ever that seems cool.
Can't really remember any missions either, might have been drunk while playing 😉
I've browsed through all my games but cannot seem to find it. Google suggested Borderlands 2 the prequel but that wasn't it either.
Incredible annoying not to remember. I thought it could be Destiny 1 or 2 (a faint memory seemed to suggest that) but I was wrong. I don't know if the name rang a Bell or what it was that made me think of it.
However, the search is not over. Even if I have to i stall every game I own I will find this out!

Speaking of Destiny, could it be Warframe? I don't even know what the beginning of Warframe is like anymore.

It wouldn't happen to be a survival game would it? It sounds similar to a couple of indie space survival games I've seen.
That depends on the definition of survival games I suppose. Of course the goal is to survive and make progress. It could very well be an indie game but it feels like a costly, large developers game to me. I could be wrong..
I just remembered that you collect some sort of resources when outsider. Not sure what they are for though. Perhaps it's just oxygen and ammo.. I think it might be some kind of agility boost to run faster and jump higher but my mind might be playing tricks on me by now. I've heard that you fill in the gaps and reconstruct incomplete memories so that might be the case..

So a big game? I would guess Returnal, but I don't think you have anyone you talk to during the tutorial.

Haven't played through it but I think it's kinda big. Not Returnal but a decent guess.
When I think of it, I seem to recall that the tutor is a bit sarcastic. Kinda like portal but not really the same. Damn this is annoying.

Whatever it is, it's either not a game I've heard of or I've heard of it, but am picturing it differently than you are describing.

I have to concede defeat. If you go back through your game library and find it, come back and let me know what it was, if you don't mind.

I absolutely will. As far as I recall it' s a really nice game and I can't understand why I can't remember the name. I will keep this thread alive until I find it. Thanks!

AI guesses:

GameWhy It Might Fit
The Planet CrafterYou’re dropped on a barren planet, must manage oxygen, build habitats, and explore. While it’s more survival/crafting, it has a similar loop. The sarcastic tutor may be a misremembered internal monologue or log.
Scars AboveThird-person, but has a female protagonist and alien world with oxygen/resource management. Might be a memory mix-up if the perspective is fuzzy.
Osiris: New DawnFirst-person survival on a hostile planet. Has oxygen, habitats, and missions. Earlier builds may have had more structured guidance.
P.A.M.E.L.A.Sci-fi survival with a sarcastic female AI companion (though not human), and indoor/outdoor transitions.
Farpoint (PSVR)First-person shooter on a rocky alien world with a female scientist companion. If Daniel played in VR, this could be it.

A couple of my own guesses:

Awsome suggestions, some I will try. But watching the gameplay videos, sadly none fit.
Thanks though 🙂

You could tell it wasn't Osiris New Dawn because he liked it.
