Question Rage 2 on Steam!

I can't run and play Rage 2, which I downloaded on Steam, I checked for possible problems such as updates and the game still does not work!
Only the main menu appears and when I press the start "play" button, the application closes automatically and a technical error message appears. Although other games I downloaded on the same platform do not suffer from the problem.
Does anyone have an idea why this is?

Hi and welcome, it would be best if you listed what your full system specifications are. It could be that you are under the recommended specs for the game.

Hey, thx for the welcome.
I already checked it, as per the specs my pc able to run it.
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core
Memory: 16 GB Ram

Sorry that I cant help in that case. Only thing I suggest is making sure all drivers are up to date.

...I need some kind soul to give me a default copy of this file: Windows : %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\id Software\Rage 2\settings.ini Thanks. PS; if this works then we might all genuinely be able to play this game finally. Since my game won't start I can't generate a copy of this file myself.
