Aw geez, I'd forgotten about those 2, some of the best from my home town :D

But yeah, just another typical Irish wedding, takes me back to my own—altho we went upscale, we had a pony & trap to take off for the honeymoon. Here's one of the snaps of us leaving the reception:

Dont know if its a typical Irish wedding, but I bet parts of it look pretty familiar to people across Britain and Ireland, if not a lot of other places. Apart from the accents of course :)

Blindboy Boat Club has a really funny and interesting Podcast, he talks about Limerick a lot.

OMG, I got it at release! Still in need of education at that time—which hasn't changed since :D
Yes I think we must be of a similar age and that album; the musicianship, the use of found and created sound effects and the lyrics was part of that education. I think lyrics in many songs at that time echoed or reinforced ideas in my adolescent mind.
(and yes I still have a curiosity about everything which is part of a personal education)

'Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way'.

'Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way'(in retrospect they sound quite depressing, but also maybe point out there is more than this, just escape it.

Here's another flashback>

If you want something new with attitude, check this out. Warning though, it is explicit rap, but when it comes to the sheer artistic creativity and going against the flow of the very predatory and evil music industry, this is as much “attitude” as you can get today. Who else thinks to sample a Japanese meat packaging commercial from the 1980s and turn it into something so horrifically beautiful? This is the music that scratches my brain the best. Not for everybody that’s for sure, but this is the intensity and aggression I sometimes need in my life.

Yes I like a lot of rap, from old school, to now. It's certainly got attitude. I also like the way they mix everything together, from social commentary to cultural references, word play and humour.

Here's some Tupac, which makes me think of GTAV. I also like rapping in French. I remember hearing these young African rappers(French speaking) who were as part of a project spreading the word about AIDS. It was an effective way of reaching youngsters.

Also when they wanted to feature a British musician in WD's Legion, they asked people who said it best about young peoples' lives in Britain and Stormzy got most votes. But also enjoy Eminem and Kendrick.

I saw them ACDC when they first came over here, mainly because a friend was into them. But once you're at the front in the crowd, they know how to rock.

Found a couple of good tunes, bank holidays throw me, what day is it. I enjoyed this whole set of music from Bruce, Tom Joad because it references Steinbeck and Guthrie, but there were some good tracks, Youngtown, etc.

But this is some live version with Tom Morello>
