I'm to slow of a leveler to help you there, you are way past me:D Not sure how far @Zloth progressed in game, but hopefully he got some tips and tricks up his sleeves or maybe someone else in forums have played it also?
Cannot see me being past you. Think we are merely playing different strategies. That is the great part of RPG's that even though everyone is playing the same game, each choice (Even picking up a small stone on the left) can change the outcome of a story line somewhere.

I just entered the nexus last night, but it is doing my head in. I am unable to travel anywhere except 2 places via a portal and to a cave system. I am obviously missing a lever or a door or an NPC somewhere. I will not go into many details here since it would be a huge spoiler to those who has not been there.

In short, I am stuck with no in or out and a Backpack full of items I am unable to get rid of. In addition, I messed up somewhere since the queen is not happy with me........

I often use a lot of time with first playthroughs because I tend to read just about anything, talk to everyone I see, and walk to every nook and cranny I can figure out how to get to while looking at a lot of items, buildings, textures, and other things of interest that catch my eye.

You need to get the TTS (Text to Speech) for Pathfinder. Some of those talks are just tooooooooo long to sit and read through. Easier to listen to it. LOL

In this post there is a lot of spoilers. I do not know how to hide the spoilers so asking the moderators to assist.

Eventually after finding a "Ummmmm" something in the nexus I was able to proceed to the town. (Just look around, the way forward is in the caves).

This is where the whole game went from "WOW!" to an absolute grinding halt. Not just because I do not like "new base structures", but because this whole town is just a mess. The town changes.... yes, what you have access to now is not available in maybe 3 or 4 minutes since the buildings change.

Must add something here. Went to the docks, did the islands quest (think was about 7 or 8 of them), but man that final was hectic. Not the final person but all the enemies before you get to kill her. The enemies is about 6 sets of 5. Now the 5 is the important part. You hit them and they fall (not die) for about 5 times. So, everyone you hit down wakes up again for 5 times. The final battle was fairly simple, but I killed her with Ember who I kept one side just casting spells. The rest of my "group" or "party" was all dead beforehand.

Anyway the "abyss" town. To me this is a game killer. Load times are extreme, areas are small, movement from one part to another is limited and you need to find places (not shown on the map) to meet up with people. So you are pretty much stuck in a revolving puzzle looking for people and places with no end in sight. just before I switched off tonight, I was able to roast chicken and potatoes with vegies and a salad (timing) in the time I was able to speak to 3 people and do 4 different areas in the game. that is just an example of load times opposed to actual game play.

I loved the game till this point. Now I am not so sure anymore. I will push a bit more but already considering other games.

If you get to the abyss town. Look for building steps and anything that will take you "up". Eventually you will reach the "head honcho" who will ask you to meet at different locations. Pretty much where the game got killed for me since only 1 location is known and the rest "till now" (even with opening the maps all over, are still unknown, amongst the puzzles, moving buildings, moving roads changing environments), I still have not met the 2nd objective (meeting place) and was unable to open anything new on the maps. (3 hours for a cooked meal using a normal oven) and 0 progress.

The spoiler things are in the little toolbar over the top of your posts as you are typing. The one with B, then I, then some lines and a down-triangle, then 3 vertical dots. Click the dots and a submenu shows up. On the right side of that submenu is a little mask. That will make "inline" spoilers. They are great for hiding a few words, like this example.

If you click
the 3 dots toward the middle, you get a different submenu. That one has something that looks like an eye that has been crossed out. That can also be used for spoilers, but it's meant more for larger blocks of text. Here's an example:
How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck would chuck wood? A wood chuck would chuck as much wood as a wood chuck would chuck, IF a wood chuck would chuck wood.

Another one you would probably like to use is quoting from multiple posts. If you click the +Quote, the system will mark that post as one you want to respond to. Mark two or three. A new button will appear just under where you reply that says 'insert quotes.' Click that, and you can put all those posts into your post.

There are lots of wonderful things you can do with forum software! Some of them are even considered by many to be "unnatural."

P.S. I took about 200 hours to get where you are now!

Will give it a bash. Thank you. Guess it will be a trail and error thing for me. Most of the forums I am on is mainly for educational purposes, so you actually want to give the spoilers for people to learn. This be my first gaming Forum I interact with so will be a learning curve for me.

The steam playtime will be wrong since this is my 3rd Character but when I play again II will have a look at the save game time. Last check I think it said 2days and something, possibly 3 now.

I have failed 2 quests out of everything so far. One was right in the start where I did not "drink" something, got 2 out of 3 there and the other is "maximising military" Rest of the quests are all done and complete. As far as I am aware I have not missed any quests (playing the Azata route)

I will be heading back into the "Abyss Town" later today see if I can make head or tails from it.

This is the first gate from the herald. As per the standing stones, there should be another two portals from him towards somewhere. I am going to try and push through this first portal and hopefully the game would become playable again. I already became the champion in the arena and met up with the head honcho there but now need to meet her somewhere for a second private meeting. Will see how it goes. Will give the game a proper chance to return to normal. It should because I still have a lot of the previous quests open in my quest list but currently no way of returning to the main map part of the game.

Let us hope I got the spoiler thing done correctly. LMAO

So, this morning I decided to give the Abyss another go. Struggled a lot. Somewhere along the line I decided to try a different tactic on the area which solved everything fairly quick. Travel distance is still an issue but apart from that it is not as bad as it seemed originally.

I started by opening every part of the maps in the area's where I possibly could. Where I got blocked by a moving building or moving bridge I would stop and move another direction. Theory was if I can see it on the main map I should be able to get to it somehow.

This was my biggest challenge. I was standing Infront of the arena with the door towards the Arena all the way to the left and unable to enter. Since I was busy opening maps, I decided to go the other way. While moving my camera (Q and E buttons) I realised that at a specific camera angle, the building moved the door to the steps. I sneaked into the arena at a very odd angle. Patting myself on the back for getting it right, I did the arena best I could and when I exited the Arena, I tried to redo the same on a moving building close by. It worked. When you get to the barrier made by either a building or bridge, you change your camera angle. Some needs to be directly from the rear, others from the side, but the camera angle controls them. I still have not been able to collect all the loot on the various roof tops but will figure it out eventually. My gold is currently on just over 1.5mil because there is nothing, I found worth buying in the abyss. Hopefully I will be able to spend it on something when I am done in the Abyss. There are several types of portals on the map. Portal up, portal down and then just portal. Up and down are fairly obvious (Up the building or down the building) and the "portal" ones you receive coins that make them work. Each coin activates a different "portal" that you can then access from similar "portals". In addition to this there are some places where you can mobility check down or up a building. Found this use full on 3 occasions so far. The twisting bridges (So far found 2) was fun but am sure no one needs an explanation on them. They were fun but not worth being called any form of puzzle. Lastly found 4 place holders in various places on the walls. Still do not know what they are for, but you are able to place something it. I am assuming it is going to be to get a door open to the final act boss fight or something. Most of the quests I got is almost done but have not gotten anything that works on those walls.......yet.

I was able to do several quests in the Abyss, and so far, not really a fight I can say was hard. With most enemies (Saying most because some are not) are demons, I went with a full melee set along with my 2 animal companions. Seems to have been the right choice. When there is a succubi's (Think I spelled it right) I move my horse in first and they place the spell on him keeping the rest of my group free and clear.

Performance wise my little machine is struggling. Load times are between 2 to 5 minutes per load. I did read up on it best I could and even inspected the .JSON files. As per them (other players) there is a JSON error on Iomodea (Damn names I can never remember), but apparently it repeats adding powers to each limb over and over (Creator fault). Some characters have up to 137 limbs. The solution is to remove two parts in the "party.json" file in your save game. I checked, mine is as they suggest it should be, so it is possibly only a fix for Aeon and or Angel. Me playing Azata apparently do not get those buffs, but if you are playing Aeon or Angel, then have a look at your JSON file. I will try and find the link again if requested but found it on steam after a bit of searching.

Pathfinder is back in my good graces, and I am playing it like crazy again. I Just needed to get out of my comfort zone a bit. According to my save game times, my character is now 4days and 6hours. Would assume that is in 24hours so puts me at 102 hours character playtime. As per the internet this is now Act4 and there are 6 acts on the main game before I get to the DLC's. (Or that's how I understand everything).

I did finally kill
Voetiel, the guy wanting to kill Wiljif
tonight. Him and his chronies didn't stand a chance. LMAO

That matches up. I tend to play SLOW, often taking double what the numbers in HowLongToBeat.com show.
