In my opinion it should say on the box or the manufacturer should actually say what is compatible with each part and I don't think someone is actually doing it, or if they are, they are doing it poorly or don't actually know.

That would work fine for Intel Motherboards as they don't change what its compatible with after launch as much as AMD boards can. When that board was released the CPU It ended up being able to work with weren't even on the drawing board.

Most motherboard makers will show a list of CPU they are compatible with on their website as its easier to update than the box

You're all good with the 5600X, OP. It's a solid upgrade from the 2700, especially for gaming – better single-core performance and lower power draw. Your board supports it with the BIOS you mentioned (7C52v3J), so no issues there. Just make sure you reset CMOS after the swap and maybe check for any new BIOS updates while you're at it.

Your SilentiumPC Fera 5 will handle the 5600X just fine too – it's more than enough for that CPU, even with a bit of PBO.

Only thing I’d double-check is your PSU quality (not just wattage), but if it's handling the 2700 + 3060 Ti now without issues, you should be good.

Let us know how it goes!
