Why Are You Upgrading: I'm having trouble with keeping my computer cool in the summer. My parents think that having a gaming computer might help prevent that when it feels in the 30s or high in summer.

Budget: $2000

Approximate Purchase Date: don't really have a date yet due to the fact we haven't heard back from the special funding folks from funding place.

Use Case: gaming mostly, but with some photo editing involved, also browsing the internet and occasionally watch movies via the internet

Parts to Upgrade:
upgrading the entire computer

Are you buying a monitor: No

Monitor resolutions: 1920 X 1080

Preferred Website(s) for Parts? (Newegg, Amazon, or somewhere else) N/A

Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: I would like to upgrade to Intel CPU)
Nope

Overclocking: don't know?

Additional Comments: (e.g.: Need to have a window and lots of bling, I would like a quiet PC. Please also list specific software or games you're using)
I would like a quiet PC.

List of Games
Sims 4+packs
Sims 2+packs
Nancy Drew Games
Sid's Civilization VI
Medieval dynasty
Democracy 4

Apps
Bluestacks
PhotoScape (for SimLit editing)
Paint
Adobe reader if it counts? (I need it for SimLit)
wordpad (for writing Novel writing month)

Having a "gaming" computer is going to produce heat regardless. If you want it to be quiet as possible i wouldnt overclock either. I would first start with looking for a case with lots of airflow and space.. Start your research there with Lian Li brand cases.

If you are familiar with liquid-cool setups, you can try your hand at that for ultra cool temps, but you would be using liquid in your pc, so take precautions and do the correct research.

Also, i would recommend using the site pcpartpicker You can put the products you decide on buying together to keep track of your budget.

How about I explain what happens when I try to play any game during the summer in humid tempture? Whenever I try to play games in high temps (For me like early 30 Cs) and the computer completely locks up. I can't use the mouse and I have gone through three computer mouses in the last 2 summers doesn't work nor with two different keyboards, I can't use the famous "hot keys". to exit out of the game/program I'm running. The only thing I can do is use the power button on my computer to shut it down.

Oh and liquid cooling is out of question.. because my parents aka my father mostly don't want leaks from it. So we probably want an air-cooling one but can be on the quiet side.

We can't recommend a build without knowing your monitor resolution.

Monitor resolutions: 1920 X 1080
The case in this build has a fan controller.

I don't need a montior, I just need a new gaming computer. And by computer I mean a new tower.. The montior we got last summer (summer 2020)

I don't know why you're giving me information I don't need. There's a reason why I didn't included the monitor, in the first place. Since I didn't need a montior, I need a new computer tower not a montior.

Im not sure why your mouse and keyboard would stop working completely but if you have a gaming pc in a hot room, you will have heating problems with your pc, especially if its on the floor or something. I would first suggest to go from a mid size to a full size tower so you can put more fans in your system. You are gonna also want a CPU cooler like this or a cheaper but still very reliable one like this. You have one picked out, but ive personally used the 212 evo for 6 years now and its still amazing. The first one i picked is being put in a new build, so thought id throw them out there. Rest of your build looks fine, super flower is a good brand. I would also stay on top of keeping your case clean to help with heating issues.

The better the airflow through your pc the better. Id also make sure that you keep your computer clean.

I don't know why either. But all summer of 2020.. I did a bunch of tests and I could find nothing the problem. The closet we found is that the employee at (store) told us we needed a new graphics card. Oh and anytime it locked up, I did touch the tower-both last year and this year, and it's didn't feel hot anytime. And it also might not have helped that from 2014 till June of this year my computer was on the floor, underneath the desk despite me warning them, several times, that was bad idea. And also my parents didn't want to try to clean the dirt out (something else I told them several times to do) I'm mot sure how big my currently computer tower is...but its an Asus computer from 2014.

I don't know why you're focusing on that post when the post above it is a build. Try focusing on what counts.

All I see is a monitor in both posts you gave me. We aren't buying a monitor, but an actually computer. The monitor is not the computer. And I mean a computer tower..
