Looking for Controller with Stiff Thumbsticks

I have the Logitech F310 and the PDP Afterglow (048-121) Xbox One Controller. Both are fine, but the thumbsticks are not giving me the precision I am looking for. They have a loose feel to them. I would prefer something that was much more stiff. Are there any gamepads that have stiff thumbsticks? This problem is ruining an entire game for me.

I use the D-pad on the Afterglow as that has a stiffer feel, but it's not good enough. I've tried adjusting the deadzone and even using a keyboard and it's just not working for me. I need stiff thumbsticks.

Interesting question that definitely has me thinking.

Have you given the Xbox Elite controller a try? From a quick look on the net, people seem to say that has stiffer sticks that "take some getting used to" for some people.

I've owned 2 Elites and didn't really take notice to that sort of thing, although all around gameplay with the controller was a lot different vs others that I have owned.
