IP address banned

I'm getting a message on my phone saying that my IP address has been banned. It's strange because it's not an account ban. Just my phone.

The only way I can use the forum on my phone is by VPN.

Is there any way to get an explanation or help?

Many thanks.

If it's a mobile IP, then chances are it was banned by us at some point. Mobile IP's act essentially like a VPN in the fact that one IP address can be assigned to hundreds of different users, so if a spammer had it before you, and we blocked it, when it got assigned to you.. you also would be blocked. If you want to DM me the IP address that was blocked I can further review it and remove it.

its likely you have a new one now

The Dynamic Nature of Mobile IP Addresses

So, what happens when you’re using mobile data and moving around from place to place?

Unlike the relatively static IP addresses on Wi-Fi, the IP address assigned to your phone while on mobile data is often dynamic. This means that it can change frequently due to various factors, including movement between cell towers or temporary network disconnections.

Each cell tower has its own pool of public IP addresses, and as you move, your phone might connect to a different tower, which may assign it a new public IP address.

Learn a new thing every day. If on Wifi it uses an IP address provided by your router. That could also explain the change.

I have also experienced this IP address ban. At first I thought it was a ban from the forum. But after sometime, I would access the forum without any restrictions. Your post have given me a good explanation of why this happens. Thank you.
