I need to buy a new UPS that can withstand my new pc. Which of the ups out there is good for gaming? I mean the best.

1) Multiply your system's total watts by 1.25 and that's the minimum power you want your UPS to be.

2) Get one that is "Line Interactive" as it offers additional electrical protection.

3) For gaming PCs, output waveform should be pure sine wave.

And make sure you understand how long it can power your system. Big batteries cost a fortune, so with the average UPS you are talking about just a few minutes of power for a gaming PC. If you want something that powers it longer than that, like for a day or more, you need to buy a separate battery, and it's going to cost you. It's also going to be huge and heavy.

Came in a bit late but have you considered getting a 2500watt Hybrid invertor? Works on both solar, battery and electricity. Will only kick in when the power cuts. Added to this you are not limited to a battery bank. The more batteries you add the longer you can use it. Do not need solar since batteries can charge via electricity.

There are several nice ones on the market. Would recommend staying away from Phoenix systems. The are in parts, e.g. charging unit, inverter unit, power unit, etc. They tend to work out much more than a complete hybrid system. Your biggest outlay on a hybrid would be your battery bank. Try to stay away from Gel, but they are not bad if you add a table shaker to the system. Get 24V input as a minimum. 12v units suck a battery dry in minutes.

Apart from that I cannot give more advise. In my country power outages is part of daily life and have been using a hybrid system for the past 5 years without fail. Even run my house light off it. They just do not like geysers, kettles, ovens and microwaves. It handles it but drains the batteries in minutes.

It seems we share something in common. We are used to unstable power, and almost everyone has solar systems to power their homes. The cost of installing a solar system that can at least power a single refrigerator is expensive. But I would have to save to do it because without it, the cost of food will be high since we cannot buy in bulk.
