I lost dark mode and see no way to get it back?

Since the problem with the forum main page needing fixing, I no longer have dark mode. I also see no way to get it back in preferences. Will it stay this way or will there eventually be a way to enable it again?

I cant answer this from a PCG perspective, although I expect it will get fixed.

In the meantime I have a Firefox browser extension installed called Dark Reader that puts dark mode on every website. There's surely something like that on Chrome etc as well.

The two PCG themes were custom made so perhaps they updated something that has broken both of them. As it says, they working on it but it might take time.

They will be back if/when they are fixed.

I am no one so I don't know what is happening, its just a guess based on the past.

I miss the left side panel more really

Yeah I've gone to the Chrome Flags page (chrome://flags) and enabled it for now. I'll probably disable it if and when they get dark mode working specifically here (fingers crossed)🤓. It's weird to see my mail all dark. I'm also already noticing some glitches with it, like the PCGamer logo only shows a solid white box for the Gamer part.

Yea it doesnt look great on FF either. but at least its not blinding me constantly.

Hopefully they get it fixed properly soon.

I ended up setting Chrome back to dark disabled. I was getting fed up with the glitches, which happen on pretty much every site. I'll probably use this site less until it's hopefully fixed. Can't stand the eye burn, drivin me nuts.

As others have mentioned, the current theme on the site is temporary. With that being said, I have gone ahead and enabled a dark mode for the current theme in use. It should be auto detected based on your settings, but if not, you can choose the dark variation at the bottom of the page. Temporary but less blinding.
