I can see reactions to my posts from Jan 2024. How many years do I have to be here to ask the question? It might be easier to go to some other discussion forum...

does the question mention any game names? The forums do block some as they are spammed a lot.
looks at question in picture...
what type of drive is it? Sata or nvme?

looks again

@Frindis I don't know why this is blocked:
topic is:
I would like to be able to have my drive with the OS outside the case of my pc. My motherboard is MSI B760 Gaming Plus Wifi. Drive is Kingston NV3
What should I use to be able to connect drive outside the case? What kind of cable?

Maybe we can make a new thread for it?

question is on the screenshot i posted above.

i can buy new, good drive, no problem.

mounting c in an external nvme enclosure would probably be best way but its not going to be as fast though as it has to use USB to connect, no where near as fast as PCIe

why do you want C outside case?

So external nvme enclosure but connected with what? Something like that? https://www.allekabels.nl/delock/63...-stekker-naar-key-m-slot-met-20-cm-kabel.html

I need to have ONLY 1 hdd connected at the time, cannot have 2 at the same time for some reason.

Do you mean the internal nvme slots?
Do you have latest BIOS?
Sounds like a problem to fix rather than avoid.

Have you thought about getting an adapter card for inside the case? put it in a pcie slot
something like
just an example, can get them for pcie 4 cards as well.

did you know:
One of the SATA ports (SATA8) will be disabled when an M.2 SATA SSD is installed in the M2_2 slot. This means you have to choose between using that specific SATA port or the M.2 slot for SATA-based storage.

Its a restriction of your board.

moderators and us mere mortals can't see what is causing that, only admin can. They might look in here in next few days.

if its a link in the post, I would try another site to find item from. And try posting that link.

the restriction links isn't really a time thing, its more an activity thing.
