If game runs on single cores only, its going to be held back by the CPU's speed.
that and it only uses integrated graphics unless your model has a gpu as well,
and I don't think the GPU models available for notebook are good enough

Graphics
  1. ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4650 (M96) with 1 GB of dedicated video memory
  2. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 (M92) with 512 MB of dedicated video memory
  3. AMD internal graphics with 128-MB SidePort video memory
  4. Unified memory architecture (UMA) with shared video memory (ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics):
■ Up to 251 MB for = 1024-MB system RAM
■ Up to 358 MB for > 2048-MB system RAM
■ Memory size changes dynamically

The AMD Turion II M520 is a entry level Dual Core CPU by AMD for laptops with an integrated dual channel DDR2 memory controller (400MHz). The Caspian called core is only partly based on the K10 architecture. Compared to the Turion II Ultra CPUs, the M520 features only 1 MB shared Level 2 cache.
The performance of the Turion M520 should be in most benchmarks comparable to a 2.0 Ghz clocked Celeron Dual-Core T3300 / Pentium Dual Core. In some programs the M520 performs even as fast as a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo.

Its a notebook so you can't really make it faster.

only way with current notebook would be reduce effects I think.

Buy a new notebook is only real answer if you want better.
