hello i wanted to ask if anyone has ever had a situation where you supposedly bought an item from the market but you didn't buy anything like that and another player was cheated who wasn't given the money and you are being sued for stealing it from someone and what was the situation with valve like? for example they asked you to transfer the funds or something similar? pls help

Sounds like a scam.

I really don't understand how someone can sue over a marketplace item.

Anyway, if you didn't buy anything and someone is trying to bully money out of you it's a scam. I'd block them and report them for harassment.

I expect Steam has exact records of who sold/gifted what to whom going way, way back. A lawsuit doesn't make sense to me. If person A thinks person B stole from them, you go to Steam, not the courts.

someone is trying to scam you. take a screenshot of the conversation and send it to Valve and then block the person. Don't worry about the scary stuff they are threatening. It's complete BS
