Question HDMI not working with dual monitor setup

Hi guys, yes another question sorry (rookie here). I’m setting up my first pc and I’m having issues with the HDMI ports.

I have a dual monitor setup, my main monitor is plugged in the GPU and works fine. However, my second monitor is plugged into the onboard HDMI port and it does not work. Both monitors and cables work when plugged into the graphics card HDMI though. So there’s something wrong with the onboard one.

Is there a way to fix this?

I think its better to use the GPU for both, I believe you can set the onboard in the system BIOS to run one and GPU the other but it doesnt work very well AFAIK.

You'd need to use a Display port or another cable depending on what ports are on your GPU and other monitor, unless you have 2 HDMI ports on your GPU.

If you have an AMD Ryzen system and you arent using a chip with the 'G' suffix you dont actually have any onboard graphics anyway
