Has anyone tried Steam's Remote Play Together?

Apparently it lets you play local co-op games like they are online co-op games. Even better, I don't have to buy Guido a copy 🙂

If you tried this before, how well does it work? Does the remote player have a lot of latency?

I've hosted a couple of times, I don't think I've joined one before. From what I've heard from the people joining me it worked pretty well most of the time, but it wasn't entirely smooth.

I think if you both have a stable internet connection it'll work well enough for any game where a bit of latency and the occasional hiccup aren't a big problem. So probably no fighting games, but most other games should be fine.

I used it when it was first introduced. It was ok, but laggy. It's been ages though.
