Hi everyone.
I recently tried to build a gaming PC with advice from a friend. I tried to buy exactly the same hardware as their set-up. The PC itself was a Dell PrecisionT5810 18CORE E5-2697v4 With 32GB DDR4 memory and a Xeon E5 CPU.
I bought a Nvidia 2070 GeForce RTX GDDR6 Graphics card with 8GB RAM. Unfortunately, the graphics card did not fit in the PC. I could attach it with the casing open but the side panel wouldn't go back on. This seemed to be because the side panel had a sort of bracket/shelf which got in the way.
I am trying to find out if there is a different graphics card that would fit my machine which would give the same performance as the graphics card that didn't fit. Can anyone help?
Alternatively, can anyone give any advice how else I could achieve a high performance gaming PC with the Dell machine I have? e.g. adapting the case to fit the original graphics card.
Any help much appreciated.

I wonder what AIB RTX2070 you managed to purchase. The Founders Edition of the GPU should fit in the case without an issue.

That prebuilt's spec sheet was published back in 2014, I'm concerned about the PSU in your build. Did you replace it?

This video might be worth a watch but I'd honestly invest on a concurrent system than retrofit a prebuilt that's a decade old, unless you got the prebuilt for free.
