Getting Grand Theft Auto

I was looking to buy grand theft auto, but it's been over a decade since I played or followed up on it. can anyone give me some good advice on which series is the best? And what you liked mostly about that particular one.

There’s a new one coming out in around 7 months. My favourite was GTA 4 though. I think it had the best characters and plot.

For me I'd say GTA 5 is the best way to experience it. Good story, I loved the characters, decent online play even though I didn't do it much.

The old games are good too, but have fun trying to get GTA 1 and 2 anymore.

Alternatively there's Saints Row.

3 is my fav for that series.

My favorite was GTA 2. The top-down look over the city was the best for me. Def. hyped for GTA 6 though
