Wanted to ask, does it specifically have to be a gaming chair? I was looking for a computer chair too and most people recommended me away from gaming chairs and to just get an office chair. They can be expensive though, but affordable if you get a used one, if you are willing to go that route.

Yes...I have the same question as well. When I asked so many people for a chair recommendation...they always recommended a gaming chair..so I wondered what's so special about gaming chairs.

I would also say look into office chairs, unless you want the look of a gaming chair there isnt any advantage.

Personally, it feels like most gaming chairs are mostly just based on marketing and their flashy appearance.

Of the two offered, I would take herman Miller over Razer in a heartbeat, as they actually make office chairs and are coming from a base of good chairs, not pretty RGB lights...

They make good chairs, cheaper, instead of cheaper chairs, more expensive...

Its more likely to last a few years and still be comfortable.

But yes, most Gaming chairs are just a waste of money compared to good office chairs... not Amazon basics. I mean good chairs. Might cost more but also last longer.

Gaming chairs , office chairs , keyboards , and mice are a personal choice and regardless of price they should be comfortable for you to use. By all means look at reviews for comments about build quality but dont buy them online even if you end up paying more.

I agree, gaming chairs aren´t as comfortable as they pretent to be. I used to have one but after a while i switched back to a comfortable leather office chair with armrests. Much better imo.

Herman Miller is a great name, but I wouldn't pay $1000 for a chair without sitting in it first.

From my experience, you can tell how sturdy a chair is by checking the max weight. I don't want a chair that's going to fall apart if you weigh 250 pounds even if I don't weight 250 pounds. Plus, if the chair is made for larger people, it probably has better padding.

Of course, these chairs are going to be a lot heavier. If for some reason you have to move it a lot, you may not want a heavy-duty chair.

so many expensive brands just not worth the price...you can go to IKEA and buy a comfortable chair at a reasonable cost.

But some people do prefer the gaming chair because of the design or they want to use it during Live Streaming...





People buy it because of the design, not the comfort....
