That is gonna be the issue right there. Graphic cards are out of control right now.

Yeah that's what I have been thinking about getting whatever that I can get my hands on but I want to know what I should even consider to maximize efficiency with my cpu

Like @FreezerBurn says, assuming your focus is playing recent & upcoming games, you're probably better off buying pre-built—you should get a pretty good machine for your budget with the crucial top-line graphics card.

My guess is the parts shortage could get worse before it gets better—which could easily be mid-2022.

Too small on the SSD for a gaming build, and the 3700X isn't a good gaming cpu ... especially when its going for over $300 atm. Try this.

Turn off the power limits in the bios and you're off to the races.
