Jarl got it right, your motherboard supports up to 6400. But...Hi,
I bought prebuild PC and the specs are:
MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-F GAMING WIFI
CPU: i9 13900kf
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz DDR5 64GB CL40, DIMM (2x32GB)
However, I would like to change the RAM to fastest possible for the MOBO CPU combination I got. What ram I should buy?
Thanks.
A 5600 MT/s one as i wrote above?Yes, I agree, it doesn't' make sense if you look at it from price perspective.
I will try to write it again, with more what I have in mind.
According to intel the i9 13900kf max RAM speed support is 5600 MT/s
I was told that MT/s is not the same as MHz and that I will need 6000 MHz ram to get 5600 MT/s.
So if my current ram is 5200 MHz and the above is correct, then my build is not ussing 100% of possible speed. I'm talking about stock not overclocked possibility.
My question is (ignoring price) what ram will I have to have to benefit all the stock speed my build has?
Oh and also, just to ad a bit of flavor. might be able to get better performance out of the CPU without overklock buy using a better cooler, because that might ebable it to keep the turbo frequenzy for a longer peroiod. (Don't know what cooler you have atm though so that is a big caveat here 🙂 )
