Is it really that good? I keep seeing it on my Steam store page but haven’t given it a shot yet. I hear it’s like older Battlefield games which I’m very fond of

It's a cross between Battlefield and CoD.

I'm only interested in the SP campaign, which looks like will be next month. I played the original Black Hawk Down campaign multiple times and really enjoyed it, so I'm excited for the remake.

The current available game modes are fun, but this game has a serious problem with abhorrent racists and degenerates in their global chat. I would not want my kid playing this game to be indoctrinated by these racist deplorable sickos. Something needs to be done to moderate the global chat and or give players the ability to turn it off completely

Switch the chat to 'squad only' and goodbye global chat.

Unfortunately for this type of game it's pretty much expected to be that way until developers can manage it.

First person shooters seem to bring the worst out of people ... probably why I love these games. Back in the day the chat used to be a program called IRC / mIRC that you could link to your ICQ account. We used to abuse that like no other, especially when we were playing against Canadian clans seeing how they loved to cheat back then (aim bots, wall hacks, altering txt files on their gpu, etc ..) Good times
