My first match in a couple of weeks. Not sure what I was thinking, running on a small ledge while fighting a Bastion with a Matriarch stomping around. My reflexes failed me🤣

Need to take some screenshots, but that new Cinematic graphics quality is so nice. It really gave a boost to textures, they look a little muddied and blurry on Epic now. It did take a hit to frames though, so I've turned off the ray tracing reflections and its now super smooth.
Cold Snap is okay, not as hard as I figured it was going to be. You can stay out in the cold for longer than I was expecting before taking damage, though it's only like two minutes or so. I also really like how the snowy maps look.
I believe the matchmaking rumors, I really think they do stick you with like-minded raiders. I've killed maybe a total of 2 or 3 players in the 25 hours I've put in this game, so barely any at all. I always run into nice players, this guy yesterday even gave me a free blueprint for an Osprey rifle. It was his Christmas gift he said.

I read somewhere that matchmaking for this game looks at how you play the game, so if you kill a lot of people, you will be more prone to get put in lobbies with like-minded individuals.

It does seem to be a factor, but it's unclear how big of a factor it is.
So, I learned the hard way that Hatch Keys only keep the hatch open for a short period of time. When you use it, you gotta get in quickly. I accidentally locked myself out of a hatch then had to run to the nearest elevator and uh, this happened
My gift came in the form of the increased amount of blueprints being dropped. Think ive add like 10 items over the last 2 days lol
EDIT: Embark released a hotfix to reel back the amount of blueprints that were dropping lol it was kinda ridiculous lol

Not tried it, but it would be fun to see how I would fare by using some camping strategies. I'd probably try to set up some traps with Jolt Mine and Trigger Nade. I believe they made some changes to the Trigger Nade, but hopefully not too severe.
It would be fun try to put a couple of Trigger Mades on the Tick robot and kite it towards the enemy and then use a lure nade to blow it up when it comes close to them. I know it is possible to do since I tried on larger robots, but I need one that is more agile and harder for the players to spot.
Well, from my last 20 minutes of streaming last night i can say this is 100% real and will affect you if you play
Unfortunate to say the least but there is a rampant cheating problem and i wonder if this ddos attack is being done to show how easy cheaters can have it? Idk and i doubt embark will reimburse us for lost loot since they are just kinda having this "dont play if you dont wanna lose stuff" attitude about it.
