I've only bought two games on Epic when they were exclusives: Saints Row III Remastered and Chivalry 2. At the time I believe I had a 25% off coupon that stacked with any sale that was going on, so I got them both pretty cheap. Besides that it's only a vessel for the free games. Their storefront is terrible, only ever showcasing Fortnite stuff as they know that is what most people use it for. I don't see any reason to use it over Steam for new purchases.
Sadly, in the rare occasion that I've bought something there, I forget I have it. I got the new Alan Wake game there, and forgot all about it.

Some questionable advertising. So I went to the Darktide cash shop to see, just out of curiosity, what they had for the new character. I immediately saw this outfit:

That looked pretty sweet, but I've been down this road with Fatshark before so I went into the item's page and clicked on the chest piece to see what it really looked like without extremely favorable lighting:

And suddenly it looked like a cheap Mad Max Halloween costume from Party City.

My wife and I just continued our Baldur's Gate 3 campaign and I stumbled upon a cave I hadn't seen before. I managed to lure three enemies to us and even with us getting the drop on the first one we still lost two of our party members. While I was reviving them using our last two resurrection scrolls my wife accidentally aggro'd the rest of the cave. Long story short, we had to reload our last save.

Maybe we can try to sneak up on them next time, but it's probably a better idea to gain a level or two first.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "digitizing". At first I thought it just created a count of everything that was in it, but then I realized that's what chests always do :ROFLMAO: I get that it's an infinite chest for everything. You can do that in Satisfactory (with a mod) too, but then you have to put a bunch of smart splitters with it so that everything goes in the right direction when it leaves storage. Usually, I just build a warehouse and create one infinite storage for each resource. Of course with Satisfactory you'll end up with 30 different factories (or more) all over the map, so getting things to the warehouse before you have trains or drones is a bit of a pain. Your options are self-driving trucks or just building really long conveyor belts. The awesome thing about self-driving trucks is that I always end up getting run over by one :)

The mod I used adds drive racks that hold up to 8 item cells that can store up to 36 different types each, with higher tier cells having a larger amount of total data they can hold. You can connect multiple drive racks with cables and stick a crafting terminal to it that has access to every item in the network and which you can use to store and retrieve items as well.

So you don't have to deal with conveyor belts or item pipes either, items are available immediately as long as you have a connection to the drive racks.

I play mobile games very rarely, but when I do it has to be well suited for mobile. Unfortunately, Balatro is not, it is too small and being in landscape you have to play with both hands. I wish they would release an update to play in portrait mode with larger text and icons.

Balatro is one of the few games I can play on mobile. There isn't that much text to read, especially once you're familiar with the jokers and tarot cards and such.

Part of my problem in Darktide is my terrible vision. I saved a video of me running directly into the demon, which is like the witch from Left4Dead. She then ran me down and killed me.

My other problem is that I need to switch to another melee weapon. I need to actually kill stuff instead of tickling it.

I've always had this problem with handhelds. I used to emulate games on the PC just so I could use a big screen. It's not just easier to see and read what's happening, the controls are usually easier with a keyboard and it's more comfortable to sit at a PC than it is to hold a handheld for long periods of time.

Usually the smaller, the better for me! But it seems like my eyes aren't going to agree with me for much longer.

I did mitigate the issue somewhat by enlarging the picture on my emulation handheld. Much more playable now.

Oh! It seems there are two different games called Lemmings! I was thinking of the side-view version where you try to get the lemmings to go out the door instead of getting killed. There's another, top-down version which is a totally different game. Somebody probably would have been sued for that naming these days. But that was back when Atari could drop TIE fighters right on the cover of a game and call them Zylons without getting sued (see Star Raiders).

Yeah, had never heard of the other one I linked!

Speaking of though, was just reading the PCG article about Majuular and Ultima and it having creatures with names ripped right from LOTR.

The green is spreading! I've got algae generators in a few local lakes plus a stream up near the glaciers. I figure the stream will carry algae down the stream to wherever that goes. I also figure the game won't go to that extreme - but I'm doing it anyway because it makes sense.

I did have a close call with uranium. I found a cave with U in it, but I think I've pretty much cleared it out, and I needed so uranium rods. Then I remembered the rocket option that pulls down U-rich meteors. That's... scary, so I didn't ever touch it, but I needed it, so I used the last of my U to try it out. Big rocks started falling all over the place! I was finding uranium on the ground and in the lake for a while after that.

Strange that, so far, none of my stuff has been hit by those meteors. They fall (without goodies inside) fairly often. There's an achievement for getting hit by one, too, but so far no damage. Sure would be a pity if one slammed into a nuclear power station...

Still haven't used a mod.
