Question Crazy Problem wreaking havoc!

I have never encountered this in my whole life but need help getting it resolved.

Some of my equipment boots up with my PC. They rely on the BIOS timestamp as a reference point for logging. My software relies on windows time for their respective reference points and logging.

My BIOS time has always (ALWAYS!) been my current local time. Windows used to get my +2 time from their server (I would assume) and the two times would match resulting in no problems between my software and hardware.

As of yesterday (No windows update recently) my hardware and software refuse to communicate due to time errors. When I set my BIOS to local time, windows then adds 2 hours to it. When I set it to 2 hours behind, then windows still add the two hours. This results in having two different times on my PC and creates endless time problems between my hardware and software.

E.g. My MIDI in/out would allocate a timestamp to a file and then export it to my PC. The software would then refuse it since it is a direct export from the hardware with an incorrect timestamp (Time in/out error). This means to get the exported file I need to save it. Then import it on the software side. So yes, it is bypass-able, but how do I fix it to have windows and BIOS to have the same time?

It is a UEFI Bios if that information is important.

if windows didn't change anything - did you look in reliability history to see if perhaps the store had installed something - then have you replaced CMOS battery recently?
Windows cannot change BIOS settings directly but applications can alter them once windows is running. These are temporary changes in that BIOS isn't actually changed, windows just says values have.

is the +2 daylight savings or something? time zone?
check your time zone is set right. No idea why it would randomly change otherwise.

try malware scans

Even tried setting the time to manual. Daylight savings is off. As soon as I touch the times anywhere the other changes. I am fully aware my music hardware is outdated (Still runs on Network bootup etc) but it has never been a problem........just suddenly.

Had that virus thing happen to me recently (Last week if I remember correctly), figured it was fixed. Will rerun everything, might still have an ugly hiding on my pc somewhere. Worst case I will reset my windows. Saw it can be done without losing anything.......might be a solution if I do not win.

1 If you haven't already, turn off Set time zone automatically.

2 Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe).

3 If prompted by UAC, click/tap on Yes to approve.

4 Navigate to the key below in the left pane of Registry Editor. (see screenshot below)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation

5 In the right pane of the TimeZoneInformation key, double click/tap on the TimeZoneKeyName string value to modify it. (see screenshot above)

6 Copy and paste the time zone you want to use from the Time zone value data list below, and click/tap on OK. (see screenshot below)

7 Close Registry Editor.

8 Restart the computer to apply.

This seemed to have fixed it but as soon as I reboot it switches back. Will be doing a system reset busy downloading the 24h2 repair version now.

SFC /scannow finds no errors, Malwarebytes finds nothing either, so seems to be a something somewhere switching it back the whole time............

Just got off the phone with the Behringer guys. Techy is coming out to see me. Sounds as if there might be a problem on the mixer's bootup sequence. Might not be a PC problem at all!

Will keep you in the loop of things but the salesman already tried to sell me a newer model.......LMAO
