Compatibility check

I'm planning to get a new graphics card & I wanted to double check if a RX 7800 XT Hellhound would be compatible with my current build:
  • CPU - Ryzen 7 2700X
  • Motherboard - STRIX B450-F GAMING
  • Power Supply - Corsair RM850
  • Current GPU (to be replaced) - Nitro+ Radeon RX Vega 64

The first compatibility site I tried said my motherboard & CPU aren't compatible but, they've been working fine in this build for years, so I'd rather get some other opinions, so any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

It will work although I would upgrade your cpu to something like a Ryzen 5 5600 (non X). What is your resolution?
I just looked it up and yeah that sounds like a good idea, my resolution is 1080p, and I've got little interest increasing it currently.

So I ended up getting a 7700XT, got it all set up, drivers updated, and there's no display, it's not detecting anything. I checked the wires, tried both HDMI & Displayport, nothing. Put my Vega back in and it's working fine. Any idea why my 7700XT isn't displaying?

Are there any beeps when the computer POSTs? Otherwise, providing the card isn't defective, the only time I've ever seen that happen with these demanding cards the last so many years is when the power supply couldn't produce the proper output, or if the 12v connector wasn't seated properly. The RM850 should be more than capable of providing enough amperage, so maybe double check the power connector(s) are secured?
