I'm certainly not upset, just argumentative; it is, after all, why I chose the discipline in the first place. Plus, I think I was posting when I was slightly drunk and tired, so that definitely makes me more feisty and wanting to have a fun argument.
You haven't met my family, is what it is. Not that they're a bunch of dummies (my sister is a doctor), but they're not deep thinkers. My sister and I went to see Labyrinth--a movie we grew up on--in the theaters recently; it's the first time I've seen it since I had kids and it smacked me in the face that it's about growing-up and beginning to understand the things that are actually important in life.
I proposed this to my sister and she's like, "Oh man, why do you have to get all Philosophical?"
This is one of the many reasons I actually prefer my in-Laws.
To change subject: I'll be damned, the guy actually fixed my laptop. He didn't just bridge the fuses either, as I had it open it up and put my NVMe and RAM back in. He full on fixed it and installed the new screen, no problem. I'm excited because I went from a 4k 60hz screen to a 1600p 165Hz screen, which I think will be a better fit for the A3000 6Gb.
He charged me $129 out the door, which I don't think is bad at all to fix a mistake I made, especially when I figured I was going to have to get rid of the thing entirely.
I'm excited to have my laptop back. I was happy using my T480s, but being without my main laptop for three weeks or so made me really realize how much I'd missed it. I had been considering getting rid of it at the beginning of the year, but now I think I'll keep it around for awhile...
