On a Journey
I got bored and now only have 1 question left to answer before Monday... and it doesn't look that hard. I just not in a rush.
I think the only thing that matters is that it is sorted and was found in time. And no one got jail time or emergency room time.I am no longer mad at my physician, but I'm a little mad at physicians overall. I've been seeing them for cognitive decline for awhile now, and not a single one suggested a medicine change. But I understand more about why they didn't. For one thing, almost all frontline Parkinson's drugs cause cognitive decline. I don't actually have Parkinson's, but I have a mitochondrial disease (unknown) that is reacting in a similar way to Parkinson's, so they have been treating me with those drugs, which has been largely successful.
Thanks to CoPilot, I think I've now charted a way forward that doesn't involve those drugs by switching to Pramipexole and a tranquilizer like Trazadone. Pramipexole has a small chance to cause cognitive decline, but usually that goes away when you stop taking it.
I am actually stunned at the number of commonly used drugs that can cause cognitive decline; for instance, Benadryl.
Well, I wouldn't exactly say it was found in time. I've been on it for 20 years, and my cognitive function is far below what it once was. Maybe some of it will come back now, but probably not.I think the only thing that matters is that it is sorted and was found in time. And no one got jail time or emergency room time.
I hate doing new meds. I have PTS so am on Cilift 20mg as part of my daily routine.
You won't regret it. Time with family is a lot better than a 14 hour drive anyways!Go figure. Drove awhile this morning and then ultimately decided to turn around and spend a few more days with family. So I'll head back home officially on Sunday then.

The point was the fat woman walking behind him in her underwear. The other point, I suppose, was the guy who sounds just like Freddie Mercury. But I'll make a note that you don't like happy people.@Zed Clampet Reminds me of super happy-faced Christmas singing groups and it really hurts my soul watching stuff like that. I'm the last person on earth that would ever go to a concert to watch a bunch of "suuuuuuuuper happy" people spewing out noise. Reminds me why I dislike Christmas and getting rashes whenever I see Christmas products at the supermarket in September and October.
But other than that, I am perfectly mentally balanced, so say my imaginary friend locked up in the basement.

*tips hat*But I'll make a note that you don't like happy people.
Then I applaud your commitment. But I'm used to this sort of thing (exaggerated emotions from performers) because I have a brother who is a professional stage actor and I've been going to musicals and other shows for the last 40 years. They are instructed to act this way because, unlike television or movies, people are farther away from them and can't see more subtle signs of emotion.
My life pretty much consists of eat, drink, shows, plays, concerts, gig's, jams sound checks, parties and music (and let's not forget composing, writing arranging). In-between all those I try to sleep as well. But I'm used to this sort of thing (exaggerated emotions from performers) because I have a brother who is a professional stage actor and I've been going to musicals and other shows for the last 40 years.

My brother has also been in quite a few television shows, and he says it's sometimes difficult to go from one to the other because the acting is so different.
This video is interesting. Don't have time to watch the whole thing right now, but even though I don't really know anything about music, I love watching music analysis. I have several channels I'm subscribed to that talk about some of this stuff. My life pretty much consists of eat, drink, shows, plays, concerts, gig's, jams sound checks, parties and music (and let's not forget composing, writing arranging). During vocal studies you are taught to "express" your vocals by adding body movement to it. Not just that, some positions open up certain vocal possibilities. I will try and find the Celine Dion key change video to explain that in more details.
Apart from expression and positions you need to keep your audience attention. Having a guy standing in front of a Microphone singing and having a guy engaging with the audience, well, they are two different performances on its own.
I pretty much see these things every day of my life. Once an Artist are able to give a god performance Vocally (instrumentally) and visually they usually tend do go far. Artists like Kate Bush, Enya, Sara Brightman, pushes the Visual part a bit further and then become theatrical expression. Still great because now you get the impression that they are living the song.
Let me see if I can get the Celine Dion Video with regards to the key change for you. A voice expert (Teacher) explains specific body positioning with specific notes. Very interesting video if you are into things like that.
Edit: Found it Whole breakdown of Celine Dion's Show Breakdown look from around 11:00

Everyone looks like that every morning (From my experience) We all pretty much look like "the morning after" as shown in the movies and I wonder how some of those actors get to get out of bed and look so extremely refreshed.... Mattress? Pillows? might be an equipment fault on my side.Honestly looks like me most mornings
It is actually odd hearing someone say that. Most (Non artist inclined) would just skip it.This video is interesting. I’ve yet to see a movie or a show that accurate depicts waking up for most people. They always wake up with a nice bright smile ready to take on the day… when I wake up, I dread the BS I’m about to face throughout the day lolEveryone looks like that every morning (From my experience) We all pretty much look like "the morning after" as shown in the movies and I wonder how some of those actors get to get out of bed and look so extremely refreshed.... Be glad knowing your wife is looking out for you. She wouldn’t want you to chop someone’s head off for touching your coffee!Wife got me a coffee mug for it a while back. Has a Cat with hairs standing in all directions and cracks in the eyes. It says in BIG BOLD LETTERS:
"Put down the coffee and walk away slowly"
Ever notice that in movies they do not get up with a drewl spot on their pillows? HOW!? It's gravity. Mouth open, liquid follows gravity and splat on your pillow/ Apparently only in RL. Also they show people falling asleep on keyboards......Ever noticed that the keyboard marks gets imprinted for several hours in your face. They get up with a red shine. Maybe that is why some keyboards are referred to as soft touch.....I should maybe invest in one of them, seems to work in the movies.I’ve yet to see a movie or a show that accurate depicts waking up for most people. She normally makes the first cuppa for the day. There after it is my problem. Considering getting one of those coffee machines to just have on my desk. Then I do not have to get up and go to the kitchen 300 times a day.Be glad knowing your wife is looking out for you. She wouldn’t want you to chop someone’s head off for touching your coffee!

So somewhere inside you there is an Artist hiding
Karaoke................. Most think because I am a musician I can sing. I might be able to hold a note or two but singing is not my forte. I know of several bullfrogs with better voices. So Karaoke nights (Yeah I am usually invited) I get up and sing that tequila song. The one where the only word you sing/say is tequila. Nothing more and nothing less. Add to that a few dance moves and everyone thinks you are marvelous.
I sing the same song and do the same steps every karaoke and no one actually notice it, some even ask for it. LMAO
I have seen of his things yes. For the general "eye" (Lack of a better term), it tries to make as if a DAW magically creates your music.View: https://youtu.be/m5D9k4VgjNg?si=7oYJ_3AHhW303jYq
@Charagma have you seen this guy before? Granted he is a beat maker but still at the highest level of musicianship for that type of music in my opinion. These days most “beats” are made using DAWs without any real equipment. This guy prides himself on using real hardware to make beats which I find incredibly interesting to watch.
I like making beats on FL Studio but just as a fun hobby, I know nothing about music theory or how to read music. Just put a drum loop over a synth loop and call it a day lol. He takes it a whole different level with it, gets super into the weeds of the machines he’s using. His videos are just edited versions of his live streams so they’re cut down a lot but each beat usually takes him an hour or longer to make.
I make a lot of time for all kinds of artists. Paradies is about as far as I go, but this I cannot place it in a category. I want to say parody, but it is not there.....yet, close but no cigar.Yeah,I dunno, always been interested in Music even though I can't play it and I can't analyze it, couldn't even name a note. I took some Music theory classes in college and I found them pretty interesting. But one of my favorite guys right now on Youtube probably leans more into the comedy stuff and doesn't upload frequently, but yeah.

Art comes in many forms, shapes and sizes.I paint miniatures, so there's something.
Yeah, I've got one song I've done a couple of times, but I can see it getting old fast. But I've also only karaoke'd twice in my life so far, so... but I do keep a list of songs that I like that might be fun to do the next time I'm invited. Though we do have a setup in our basement, but I usually don't participate.
We need to talk sometime about your beats. I can do rhythm and an average Joe drummer, Too heavy for church and too light for bands (LMAO).@Charagma have you seen this guy before? Granted he is a beat maker but still at the highest level of musicianship
