For me, no to steak sauce, and maybe to tacos. Tacos with homemade seasoning? No. Tacos with something like Old El Paso seasoning? Yes. In my favorite Mexican restaurant? Absolutely not.I don't use gravy. I actually don't use much in the way of extra flavoring. I love the lightly salted and buttered taste enough. Gravy sometime for a change of pace, but most of the time without.
In the same vein I don't use steak sauce on steak or taco sauce on tacos. The natural taste is just too good to cover up.
As for mashed potatoes, I like them with gravy, but probably only make gravy maybe 1 in every 5 times.
