Question CK III and CK II — What are the main differences?

I never got very far with CK II, although the theme and setting were very attractive to me. Now I'm intrigued by the generally favorable reviews of the successor, but wary that again, it might not be for me. What are the main differences and innovations in CK III that distinguish it from the last iteration?

Thanks for any helpful responses!

Hey,

so I've not played CKII but one thing I have heard from a review was, that you can't influence your heir/offspring as much in CKIII. You can choose a guardian which will influence the child's stats/personality, you can change the focus (intrigue, diplomacy, ...) once. Not sure how it was in CKII but maybe this helps.
