hi, my ram is currently running on 2400Mhz i want to overclock this to 3200Mhz.
i have installed the latest bios update on my motherboard, butt when enable XMP Profile 1 or 2 it doesn't boot up???
what is the problem here???

my system:
AMD Ryzen 9 3900x
Msi MPG X570 Gaming Edge Wifi
16GB Ram Hyperx Fury
RTX 2060 SUPER
Crucial P1 M.2

Its possible, but IMO its more probable your motherboard has over heating VRMs that are causing some CPU instability, its quite well known about the early release MSI X570 range.

MSI’s MPG X570 Gaming Edge WiFi uses basic MOSFETs and tries to use brute force to cool them – but this doesn’t work very well, with sensor-reported temperatures as high as 110°C and physical PCB readings showing more than 100°C. I wouldn’t recommend this board for use with an overclocked Ryzen 12-core or 16-core CPU. That said, it’s likely to be fine for lower-powered parts, which is a good thing as I have previously recommended this exact model for a friend’s Ryzen 7 3700X build.

The way to test that is to reset everything to stock, both CPU and RAM, check its stable. Then enable XMP before anything else and test if its stable then.

The settings get stuck sometimes when they are not fully stable and you need to clear CMOS. Or you need to sort out the Auto OC software, because it's applying settings on Windows start up.

Its not a big deal :) BIOS gets stuck quite easily when overclocking.

Make sure its nothing to do with the Auto Overclock in Windows first though.
