You are on bios 2301
Current is 2302... and there isn't a 2301 listed on the board now... I think you on a beta version of the newest bios. 2301 might have become 2302.

evidence 2301 did exist at one point - link - it came on his board, so probably the release version since you never updated it before.

So just stop :)

Updating bios isn't the solution

Wish I could come help you but you probably don't live nearby (I am in Australia)
wait so im already on the latest bios or my motherboard cant update?

@Colif is likely correct regarding BIOS versions. I really did not look at the details of what you have.

The numbering does beg this question though. Is your Windows 10 PC a brand name system? Like HP, Acer, etc...

Just wondering more than anything else.

I can't prove it but I think your BIOS might have been a beta bios and the release version is 2302. It could be exactly the same.
There isn't a lot of info on the internet about your motherboard from 2010.

Asus themselves mention 2301 on your motherboard page but only the CPU compatibility page.

Its the BIOS number needed to run the bottom CPU. So it did exist at one stage...

The BIOS version I have on my PC doesn't exist on the website for my board now, as it was a beta and they have removed it since. There are newer versions but I tend not to update BIOS unless I really have to.

Might be why its not seeing the file on the USB drive. You have that version now.

Got it. Not an OEM system.

Lets ignore the BIOS, for this particular matter, right now.

What prevents you from simply doing a full OS installation, of your choice, on this old PC (currently running Windows 10)?

Can you not move documents/apps/games to your Windows 11 PC?

While the VM path "may" work. It may not work, too. We really don't know.

i mean i could start that i suppose but its just i have a lot of files on the computer about 200 photos and videos of me and my exboyfriend that i was thinking of backing up to another usb drive or just permanently deleting

but since i havent made a decsion yet thats why i thought maybe a vm would be easier for now

plus for the usb to cd rom adapter i cant pay for it right now because im actually in the middle of dealing with a claim with my bank and paypal

according to them they covered a payment for me when they couldnt get it through my bank linked to them for a purchase i thought i paid for but perhaps they did

so until i resolve this claim im not buying anything off the internet

and they did say it could take 10 days

so im trying to in the mean time figure out a way to play the game before then
