Hey all,

After some help and advice on building a gaming/all arounder pc as my current pc is on its last legs.
I am not a heavy gamer, so not after anything top end, mid-class is good enough. (Call of Duty)

I have a $3500 AU budget to spend on the PC (case) alone, excluding all other peripherals. (including monitor, don't need keyboard/mouse or speakers)

Are there any sites I can use to go through the building process which matches compatible parts?

I haven't build a PC for quite some time, but I have heard that AMD is now giving Intel a run for its money?
Is it time to make the switch to AMD processors and ATI GPU?

I generally stick with GB for MB and GPU's or Asus. Are they still the better choice in their class?
I really appreciate any help you can provide.

$3500 is an expensive case, sure you don't want parts inside it as well :)

Yes - https://au.pcpartpicker.com/

Now isn't an ideal time to buy a PC, its not easy to get GPU and their prices are just silly in Australia.
I made this last year and its much cheaper now cause its GPU has no listed price. You can't get it in Australia right now - https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/sLbY7X

You would be spending at least half that money on a GPU.

AMD are much closer to Intel than they have been and in multi core, probably ahead since latest Intel only have 8 cores. Whereas AMD don't stop so soon.

This is a difficult time to do a build. Video cards are going for three times their normal price atm due to the extreme chip shortage + the mining craze. Best way is to build it yourself or have someone do it for you such as a friend or local PC shop. This way you know exactly what you're getting.

This build will allow you to run that cpu with the power limits turned off in the bios. It's a round a bout way of OC these locked Intel cpu's. Check Amazon for these components for free shipping.

Review of that cpu w/benchmarks. Look for Core i5 11400F + Opt on the benchmarks.
