Hello everyone.

I tried to connect gpu to motherboard and got a stacking problem. As i wanna unplug videocard it somehow got really strong tied between PCI16 port and the space between connections from videocard . Attempting to unplug it really careful wasnt helping at all so i had no choice except using more strength.

In the end PCI port totally unplugged from his space with under screw + 1 gold connection inside PCI(sorry idk how you name it) just bent.

Can you please tell me if videocard is fine? Its really newest PC I got and motherboard already forced to get changed or repaired

On the screenshot the space on videocard got scratched and also above one of the connectors its got litlle black

Did you miss the retaining clip on the PCI-E slot? I've been using a wooden chopstick or kebab skewer to pop them down for the last few years before removing the GPU. Its impossible to reach in there anymore with the size of air coolers and graphics cards.

I'm afraid the only way to know if the card is working is to try. From the picture to me it looks like it should be OK FWIW.

That clip for no reason wasn't react on my pressures, but i will take in mind about your ideas

I've tried it many times at all. Gonna get another motherboard anyway, gladly its guarantee

Some new boards come with release mechanisms that let you press a button and it will unclip cards without you needing to mess with clips
for instance, the white square near the Memory slots on this board is a button you press to release GPU

I am going to have a lot of fun detaching mine from motherboard when the time comes, as the cooler is a little close and I may need to remove it and the ram to get in.
