Black Friday/Cyber Monday : What did you get?

I picked up a few games from Steam, technically one of them wasn't on sale but eh.

Excited to get into this one on Steam Deck.

Rogue like survival tower defence type thing that looks quite unique

Currently 15 hours deep into Nioh 1 and I like it enough that I'd like to try the sequel which is supposed to be better in every way. It never gets cheaper than this, been following it for a while. Nioh 3 on the way maybe it will, but I'd like to pay them both before it comes out.

Same publisher as Rock and Road above, great reviews, nice pixel art style, cheap!

Only a tenner, have to give an all time great in a genre I quite like a try, worth it at that price!

Loads of good buzz and I got excited to play it straight away, worth it for 15 already.

Other then that I bought a decent set of bluetooth ear buds for almost half price.

Also got some Xmas presents done but none of that is much fun this time.

How about you?

No games for me, only hardware!

Black Friday itself, I ended-up picking up that gaming PC for my nephew. I'm going to go to a friends house this week and raid his hardware stash for some matching RAM sticks for it, so I can enable XMP.

Also on Amazon I picked up a new 850 modular Thermaltake PSU, as well as a 140mm Noctua front case fan and HDMI cable, because I'm still trying to sort out the cooling issues with my HTPC. Hoping this does the trick, but I have some other ideas if not. Haven't torn into it yet.

And then I picked up this new (to me) Surface Pro 7. I don't need it, but I'm going to get rid of my other tablets most likely and use this one as my main one/travel PC. So far, I like it; I do wish it had the same hardware in the same profile as the Surface Go, as I prefer a 10" tablet to a 12", but it's not too bad so far and keeps me from missing my small little 13" Thinkpad X1 Nano too much.

I'm not sure if it was Nioh or Nioh 2 I tried, but my god that game was HARD! I wish you good luck, definitely not the game for me, lol

Same, but the hard was a bottle of Valhalla Liquor, some tastiness from Finland that maybe @Kaamos_Llama has had a taste of. Other than that I downloaded the recently published eXoWin9x collection from the man, the myth, the legend eXo and his crew.

Don't forget to send a bottle or three my way.

My drink of choice lately has been Hot Toddies, since it's been so cold.

I saw LGR cover eXoWin9x last week and it looks great. Still never got around to trying out ExoDos; so many games seems intimidating, especially when I'm already that way with my own Steam Library.

I've heard that about 2 I think. The first game can be a little frustrating because most of the tougher enemies in 1 can kill you in a couple hits. You dont have to really kill most of them more than once though, and some boss fights are tough I guess but not on a FromSoft level in either difficulty or design. Its a fun game, if 2 is an imprioved version then I should like it. Lets see :)

I havent played with ExoDos or that but I'd like too now you bring it up, I bet theres some games in there I dont even know Id forgotten.

Nice! I wish I'd bought some more hardware but couldnt justify it. Im still planning on building that secondary system in the new year, but I want to get the festive season out the way to see how much fun money remains for it.

I can already see that FedEx guy throwing the box over the fence while you go "nooooooooooo!"

Chamomile Tea with a dash of lemon and acacia honey is my favorite when it is cold and I feel a bit of a sniffle. Not sure how much it helps, but it tastes good at least.

Yeah, it's insane. I got both packs, but to be honest I try to pick stuff from the favorite list that you get when opening the LaunchBox. It's still a lot, but at least you can pick from the very best. Right now I have been playing the Claymation game called Neverhood. It is quite impressive considering it is from the 90s, and the guys made the whole game from clay. They used a few tons of clay, not to mention how long it must have taken to do those animations frame by frame.

Probably more for export, I would guess, with the name and all.

Yeah, not to mention tons of really weird homebrewed ones. I remember playing a game where you had to walk around in some horrible-looking mansion and click stuff. It was basically some assets around you could engage with and then you would get some text popping up on the screen that made absolutely no sense. The whole game also had horrible coloring, like some bad acid trip. Still, it's cool to comb through and have a good laugh:)
