Bios flashback with built pc?

I am going to need to use the bios flashback feature on my motherboard so it will support my cpu. Is it true that I should do this procedure with a blank motherboard or is it just as safe to have all my components in already. Thanks.

Can you please parse the specs to your build, like so:

SSD/HDD:

OS:

some let you do it with all components in whereas others might need only some. It depends as I said.

There might not even be a need for a BIOS update, if we're going along assumptions.
