Beware ASUS customer service and RMA

Asux... Oh wait, I typed that wrong :)

They used to be good, I had 5 of their motherboards in a row... its only in the last 5 years they have become bad. I never had to deal with customer service though, their hardware was good enough to not need it.

I wouldn't buy any of their hardware now anyway as they insist on using Armory Crate for any driver installs, and I don't need it on my PC thanks. Seen it cause problems for others too many times. Its actually one of the main reasons I didn't buy their keyboard last year. Same with Razer & Synapse. Driver packages that want to run your PC.

I bought an Asus RTX 4070S a few months ago, having not been aware of any support/RMA issues. I'd also been using MSI hardware the last few builds ,and I've heard rotten stuff about their support/RMA process (or lack of) as well. Fortunately I haven't had to reach out for support as otherewise MSI's hardware has still been pretty solid (knock on wood).

It makes me miss EVGA. They were on top of things. I hate to say it, but they were U.S. based and had a center/operations not too far from me.
