Question Assassin’s Creed 1 Loads but can’t be played?

Hello

I’ve just installed AC1 and wanted to try it out for the first time…. But it works as normal, then loads up the actual game and all you see if white smoke and glitchy matrix like digital artifacts all over the place… but from that point on you cannot do anything either in game or even with menu’s etc.

Any ideas?

My system:

Sapphire 7970 OC with Boost 3GB
Intel i7-3770 @ 3.40GHz, 3.90 GHz
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H, 16GB DDR3 RAM
Samsung 128GB SSD 840W Pro SATA3 2.5"
Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) CMZ16GX3M2A1600CP Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 DIMM
64 Bit Win 8.1 Pro (But will be upgrading to Win 10 Pro )

Thanks for your help

Go into the games launch and right click properties and choose compatability mode and try again , also update your g card driver.

If you got it from steam you have a limit of 2 hours use or owned for 2 weeks before you cant get a refund so you dont have long to try and fix it.

Hi

Yeah I tried compatibility mode in file explorer (is that what you meant?) in win 8.1 but that didn't make any difference?

So re steam games - even if you haven't installed it - if it goes past two weeks - no chance of a refund?

cheers
