Do you know if your SSD was formatted as GPT or MBR?

What could have happened is when you updated the bios, it has changed the boot method
What is CSM Compatibility Support set to? You could turning it on or off (depending what it is now) as it might help you find the ssd

Is it an nvme? Some bios show them in a different spot as they only list sata drives on some pages, and nvme aren't sata.

if its an ssd, you can look in Advanced tab/Storage Config (page 79 of manual - https://download.asrock.com/Manual/Z390 Phantom Gaming 6.pdf ) and see if its listed as being connected.

curious.
looking at manual, there could be two sata controllers underneath SATA3_5

If changing it to CSM and restarting didn't help bios find drive, and its not showing on that screen at all, I have concerns about the ssd.

What make/model ssd was it?
Could see if it works in another PC.

Windows 10 by default has fast startup turned on. (I am not talking about fast boot in bios). So by default, windows isn't off when you turn it off. I have seen this form break installs before, but not ssd themselves.

Colif you won't believe,,,,computer was working fine before updating BOIS and I when I updated BOIS this problem happened ,,,,,means I didn't touch internal components for the desktop (RAMs , SSD , CPU,,,,,,etc)

What I did I unplugged the power and data cables from the SATA SSD and reconnected again and I moved the data cable to different port on the motherboard and now it is working (I can boot into windows)
