Random discussion thread for Age of Empires 4. I know I’m one of the only ones here who plays it but I have a lot of thoughts I’d like to post, so why not consolidate it to a singular thread.

I haven't played in a few months, but I wouldn't mind picking it up again. I haven't played Ranked, but I really enjoyed playing multiplayer matches with random people against AI, it's a lot of fun everyone worked together. However I would get totally wrecked in PVP.I still play aoe4 too lol not as much ranked lately but I mess around with mods and custom games a lot. english longbow rush still hits hard if u time it right. Sometimes i just play vs AI to chill tbh.
I've just picked this up not so long ago with a friend, we dabbled in previous of Age of Empires but we got wrecked by the AI in our first few games, I'd definitely get ruined online in PVP.I haven't played in a few months, but I wouldn't mind picking it up again. I practice the game by playing against easy/intermediate AI, you can also turn on a setting to show you their scores as you play. It helped me to learn what I should prioritize and how to speed things along. When I first started playing AOE 4 after not playing AOE for years, I would take so long to advance through the ages and build an army, I only focused on gathering resources. It's a balancing act for sure.I've just picked this up not so long ago with a friend, we dabbled in previous of Age of Empires but we got wrecked by the AI in our first few games, I'd definitely get ruined online in PVP.
It feels a little more difficult vs AI, but maybe I am just rusty. I do have a habit to forget to build an army because I am so invested in collecting resources and upgrades. I should probably just play Sim City instead.
