Question Windows key doesnt work

Well im at my wits end on this issue. Ive done everything the internet has shown me so going to do a quick google search wont result in any helpful responses. Ive uninstalled/reinstalled keyboard drivers, restarted windows explorer and ive closed tons and tons of gaming-related programs and turned off all ms gaming stuff to no avail. All types of sticky keys, filter keys etc. are all off and its still not working and yes of course i made sure games were in the right window-mode.

Have you tried the keyboard on a different computer or a different keyboard on that computer? Maybe pop the windows key out and make sure something isn't jamming it up?

If you still don't get it to work after following the advice from @January's Ghost (or others) I have a temporary solution: You can install https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/ and use that software to rebind your Windows key to G1 or similar buttons if you have that on your keyboard. At least that way you can still use the Windows key function even if it is on another key.

I got it guys. So i re-setted my profile on my kb and it works. I did this yesterday and it didnt, but what i didnt realize is that when i closed the app it reverted back to the state i had it saved and the colors were the same so i didnt notice.

I'd never save a keyboard file with an anti-windows-key type set up, idk how it got there. But im good now, maybe someone down the line will see this.

Ok, got it to work now. The app finally allowed me, i just went through the process of installing twice and for some reason the 2nd it worked? Also windows key lock isnt in options its under performance in whatever profile your using.

reads windows key and thinks it is the licence key... not the actual one on keyboard.

mine stops working if the battery charge on my keyboard is low. But that only happens with my brand of keyboard.

What keyboard do you have?
